Sunday is one of my favorite days of the week. It's Jon's Friday so all day long is like a sigh of relief because I know I have the whole weekend to look forward to. After almost ten years together I still miss him like crazy when he goes to work. He even calls me every day on his lunch break. I got that whole once-in-a-lifetime-crazy-head-over-heels thing and I'm thankful every day. Which leads me to my Giving Thanks for today. Today I am thankful for our trunk. We have a trunk that is filled to the brim (almost time to start a second one) with notes and cards we've given each other over the last decade. Our trunk is filled with so much love! If I ever need encouragement, or even a good laugh, all I have to do is open it and read. It's like a story book of our life. I'm thankful our kids and grandkids will have it in the future. I think it's super cool. ![]()
Today we got to drop Daddy off at work. So it was kisses for him (no Em isn't trying to eat him :)) ![]()

and then it was off to do our Giving Reasons. There's a little coffee shop in town that always has a $2 coffee special. ![]()
I don't like coffee. Like never-drank-a-cup-in-my-life really don't like coffee. But if I did like coffee I imagine a cheesecake latte would be pretty delicious. So three cheesecake lattes it was. One for my mom, one for Jon's sister and one for our niece. No Giving Reasons coffee would be complete without a little note. ![]()
Remember yesterday when I said I love post its? Well multiply that love times two and that's how much I love Sharpies! They come in so many fabulous colors and they're perfect for little things like this! I always keep one in my purse along with a notebook so I can jot down stray ideas that fly through my head throughout the day. Today in the coffee line I was working on this...a list of ideas for Giving Reasons. :) ![]()
So we swung by Grandma's and dropped off her coffee and then swung by Auntie and Cousin's and left them a little surprise for when they got home. All this giving can make a girl tired! Thank goodness for shoes! When you wear them on your hands you can use them as a head rest! :) ![]()
I also left a little note in Jon's lunchbox today. I don't know if this really counts since I do it three or four times a week but I'm counting it anyway. :) It's no wonder that trunk is so full! ![]()
