Today I am thankful for my chimpanzee friends. They have helped make me who I am today. They placed a new passion in my heart that will never go away. They have changed the way I look at people and the way I look at the animal kingdom. They are amazing. Even talking about them is kind of hard because I love and miss them so much it makes my heart ache. The fact that I got the privilege to spend time with them will always be one of the coolest things about my life! :) I really can't tell you how much I miss hanging out with them every day. Especially these two! This is sweet Chloe. Her favorite thing in the world is food. She has very long pretty fingers and loves it when you help her clean her nails. :) This is Delilah, "D". She is just too awesome! She really loves bubble gum and playing chase. She loved my pregnant tummy. It's pretty much understood if we ever have another daughter we're naming her Delilah. :) I really miss her. Oh my heart. *sigh* Today for my Giving Reasons I did two things. I always get really excited when I find a lucky penny. Maybe I'm alone here, but it always seems to me like a little sign saying, "Hey you, smile! It's a beautiful day!" So today when I was at Wal*Mart I left some lucky pennies in random places. Looking back on it now I should have attached cute little notes...next time! A couple of my random places were on the floor (admittedly not so random)... and on a toddler's clothing rack. :) My other Giving Reasons kind of went along with yesterday's theme. I know there are always kids in my mom's class that, for one reason or another, need school supplies. So I headed over to the clearance school supplies and found these goodies!! One 3 ring binder, 1 notebook, 10 mechanical pencils, and 2 erasers! 14 items for a grand total of $3.92! See? Giving doesn't have to break the bank! :) I swung them by my mom's classroom on the way home. I also found these little jewels at Wally World. I think they will be perfect stocking stuffers for two little sweethearts who think sipping out of a straw is the coolest thing since sliced bread! This super awesome batter-pourer-helmet-bathtub-toy also found its way into our cart. :) We put it to good use later! I was looking around the house tonight for something new and fun to do and then I saw Jon's can of shaving cream. Combine that with some blue food coloring and you've got a bathtub party on your hands! Don't you like my stirrer? I thought a pick was the perfect non-food utensil for shaving cream stirring! Bathtubs are awesome. They're super, crazy awesome when you're the mom of two active toddlers! They seriously make for the easiest clean ups EVER! :) Don't worry, don't worry, I was extra vigilant about shaving cream NOT making it's way into their little mouths! My girls. Are cute. No one was safe in this bathtub. Even the duck got creamed. (Yes those are Buggy's little blue hands coming in for the attack!) I think this is a good sign that operation shaving cream was a success! Then came clean-up time! Havyn thinks running water is the coolest. She doesn't even like for me to turn the faucet off when they're taking a bath. She REALLY loves to sit in one side of the sink and get sprayed with the little hose sprayer. **Side note: if your kids are ever playing in the bathtub and there is even the slightest chance that you will decide to turn the water on...take the diapers off! If you don't, this weird white squishy stuff comes pouring out...and it's gross! End side note.** Em would have rather skipped clean-up because that meant she had to get her hair picked. Not her favorite thing in the world, but she tolerates me...and it makes for ONE HAPPY GIRL when it's time to get out! :) Happy Wednesday everyone! :)
