So I have two days to fill you in on. They've been pretty normal, laid back days...but we still had a little fun. :) Yesterday I was thankful for my little brother, Adam. The two of us are about as different as two siblings can be. He calls me a hippie and I call him a redneck...all in good fun, of course! I love him. I have so many memories of us growing up together and having a blast. He's one of the smartest people I know and he's one of the hardest workers I know. I don't get to spend as much time with him now that we've both got families of our own and busy lives but one thing has never changed...I love my baby brother...with my whole heart. Today I am thankful for Shannon. Shannon is, and has always been, for all intensive purposes, my sister. We are five months apart in age and have been by each other's sides since day 1. There has not been one major life moment where she hasn't been there to share it with me. She gave me the gift of a sister that nature did not. I love her too. NOW on to yesterday's fun. It turns out that it's not just Wal*Mart and Fred Meyer that have super fun shopping carts! Super 1 has some pretty sweet ones too! I actually think these are double awesome because they have a little steering wheel for each little munchkin! This is Em's face as she exclaims, "ohhhhhhhhh"! :) The one downside of this cart? It's at ground level...which makes for perfect item snatching off the shelves. :/ Their haul for the day? 2 Starburst packages and a sodoku book...don't worry...we put them back. :) It turns out that Grandma's home made apple sauce is REALLY yummy!! I mean REALLY, REALLY lick-your-fingers-clean yummy!! Tonight I wanted to find something new and exciting to do with the girls. An internet search came up dry, so I looked around the house and ended up grabbing a roll of toilet paper. The girls (especially Bug) LOVE to unroll the toilet paper roll in the bathroom. Of course, this is not allowed. So tonight I thought it would be fun to let them unroll one. We made lots of fun fashion accessories with it! (There's that "ohhhhhh" face again!) At one point we even ran it the length of the kitchen! Don't worry...she knows she looks good!! :) Doesn't every fancy girl need a bustle? Of course one of the most fun things for the girls to do was to make mommy some fashion accessories. I think I look quite dashing. When we were done playing dress up we put it all in the laundry hamper and took a few rides around the house. It was way fun...we all had a blast! Today for my Giving Reasons I donated money for toys at vrcpitbull.com. This is the website for the Villalobos Rescue Center. Those of you who watch animal planet have probably seen their show, Pitbulls and Parolees. They do seriously amazing work. I respect them so much for standing up for this amazing breed that is SO, SO under appreciated! Yesterday when I went to mail my cards to St. Jude's Children Hospital they were collecting donations for Toys for Tots. This is a GREAT program that gives toys to children whose families can't afford to get them any. So donating to them was my Giving Reasons for yesterday. Next week is Thanksgiving...can you BELIEVE it!?! I'm very much looking forward to stuffing my face with entirely too much food and then sleeping it off. Ok who am I kidding...I have two kids under two...I'm not sleeping anything off. It's more fun that way anyway! Happy Saturday everyone! :)
